Survival
S.O.S. is a 24 hour course dedicated to teaching the principles of wilderness first aid and emergency survival to the sailing and boating community. It is an intensive, hands-on learning experience for those that want to be better equipped to handle emergency situations whether at sea, inland lakes or land. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion in survival training as well as a national certification in Wilderness First Aid (WFA).

Course Instructor:
When not flying around the world as a Flight Paramedic with Phoenix Air Group, instructor Ernie DeWitt can often be found sailing the waters of Lake Hartwell. He has been a Paramedic for 28 years and is CEO of Adventure Medical Institute, a corporation for wilderness medicine and aquatic training. Ernie has a MA in Adventure Education and has taught as adjunct Professor in adventure medicine and survival for multiple colleges and universities.
